I think decades ago, I probably wouldn't have to ask that question, but today it seems the norm is to not believe in God. In fact, it's seems almost abnormal to believe in God. People tend to think you're unintelligent.
But I haven't lost faith in God, is it normal?
Yes it's normal. I'll tell you what isn't normal; that scientology bullshit. That's the most retarded form of religion I've ever heard of. Wow.
I personally couldn't ever bring myself to believe in God. It seems a fantastical tale told to keep people in line. However, that's just my opinion. Your opinion will be different and I think that's entirely normal. I also accept I may be completely wrong.
Your faith is a personal thing. Even if you were the last person on the planet to believe in God, it doesn't change anything.
Also, I think it's short-sighted to equate faith with a lack of intelligence. I hope other people see this too.
Silly humans, we keep trying to use science to prove the existence of god. This is like trying to collect water with a net. A more sophisticated net will not solve the problem. And I'm sure you all are familiar with the phrase "apples to apples". This is like comparing apples to the a drunken barn dance. It can be exhausting. But kind of fun too.
Atheism will never be the norm, but that's not to say it is abnormal. And it has a rightful place among spirituality. It's too bad many of them take it to the place of intolerance. FYI, preaching atheism is just as bad as preaching anything. You should never have to convince someone of their faith.
Don't let anyone tell you you are not intelligent because you believe in God. However if you believe in literal translations of scripture, you deserve the ridicule.

Ask yourself why you believe in god? Is it because it's what your parents brainwashed you to believe, like the countless generations before them? Or is it because you find a real spiritual serenity when praying to god, reading the bible, or how ever you connect with your god?
But in any sense, god can only be who we perceive (him/her/flying spaghetti monster) to be since no one has talked to the guy in 2000 years.
It's not a matter of it being normal or not, it's what you believe, it's not anyone else to say. It's great that u haven't lost your faith, good for you, a lot of people are distant to god.

of course it's normal. i haven't been to church forever, but i still believe in God. believe what you believe, and don't be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. :)

in about 100 years noone will believe in god anymore. the things that people use to use god to explain away such as creation and life have all been explained. with no reason for a god to exist, he will simply fade away and we will be one step closer to peace.
Its faith in God that keeps believers alive spiritually. We all have our own beliefs.
