  • It probably could have been given a slightly less ridiculous name, like Sniffballzer's or maybe Horsecocker's.

I do it too, not out of ignorance but it just rolls off the tongue easier than "aspergers" would.

I know several people with it and sometimes, yes they can be asses. So I have thought of it many times. Glad I'm not the only one.

P.S.S: I feel like tell y'all that my Mom is a Speech Therapist. And a darn good one. I don't know... Why I felt like saying that. *shrug*

Lmao, I used to think, for the LONGEST TIME, that it was literally spelled "assburgers". Or "asbergers". Then, one day, my mom (and some people online) told me how it was spelled... And I facepalmed. Hard.

P.S: My second cousin Casey has Asperger's. It actually took a while for her parents and doctors to realize that, cause she's on like the low or whatever end of the spectrum...

I do too...I literally think of an ass between to bread buns. Makes me feel like a prick but couldn't they have come up with a better name? I mean, c'mon. Really?

I say it's normal. How else are you supposed to pronounce it?

No one "came up" with the name. It was named after Hans Asperger, who discovered Asperger's Syndrome. It is kind of a weird name though, and I wish it would have been named something else. Everytime I tell someone I have Asperger's they're always like "Ass burgers????"

There was a commercial for a TV show (I'm pretty sure it was for a TV show anyway), and the scene was a child overhearing his parents saying he had Aspergers. The whole time, I was waiting for 'and Live from NY, it's Saturday niiiiiight...'

You spelled it wrong, it's aspbergers. I saw the "ass burgers" episode of South Park; even though I'm an aspie I found it hilarious!
