Is it normal that i can actually hear electronic gadgets?

o.K i do not know how to put it down here. I can acually hear electronic gadgets when they are plugged in. For example, i can hear a wierd bzzzz whenever i charge my phone, connect my camcorder to the tv, when pics are transferred from my digicam... etc. I ask my pals n family if they can hear the same, but they give me a Bizarre look! is it normal ? anybody out there who experiences this similar thingy ???

    That's not unusual.

Most electronics have a "hum" when they operate.

The difference is not everyone's hearing is sensitive enough to pick it up.

I think they give off charges and if you listen closely you can hear it.

It's high frequency sound, and most electronics make them. As you get older you tend to lose the ability to hear sounds that are in the higher ranges :)

You've a frequency level sensitivity. Yay!
It's actually really common, but there are people you can't or won't pick it up. I don't know if you acquire it at birth or later, but it's cool.
Annoying and distracting sometimes but cool.
My bf and I can hear if the tv's on upstairs, no one else us ever bothered by it though. Aha.

I hear them and, like randomjelly says, I smell them too. Either an ozone smell or the chemical "burning-in" smell.

I'd be careful, though, if something smells really odd. Apple were well-known for using poisons like mercury and arsenic in their products.

Yeah I also hear the TV when someone turns it on. A weird high pitch sound. And I also hear it when I'm charging my phone. So I think it's normal.
