Is it normal that i can never get a successful youtube channel?
So here's the deal. I've been a partner on YouTube for the past few years now. Basically I make videos and earn money from the ad revenue on them.
My problem is this... I can't seem to stay with the same idea. My strong points are doing vlog/blog style rant videos where I discuss a specific topic that bugs me or a popular/pop culture topic.
I've had a large audience in the past, but when I changed up my style (due to legal issues with copyright infringement) I had to water down my videos a bit with content.
Now I'm getting horrible views and audience feedback and because YouTube is my primary source of income, I need to keep it moving up.
Everyone always tells me, "Be original!" "Come up with an original idea for a channel and you will do well!" but it's a lot harder than you think.
So with my strong points of quick cuts and being able to rant about specific topics, what can I do to hold an audience's attention and bring in lots of viewers in a fairly quick amount of time.
I really hope you all can help. Any tips or idea/suggestions are welcome! Thanks for hearing me out!
