Is it normal that i can never get my door open?

I never am able to get my house door open. It takes me lagitamently 15minutes to open. It scares me because you know like in the scary movies where pppl can never get the door unlocked in time and the killer is about to kill them? Yea, thats me! one day...oh yea I live alone........

    is it the key, fumbling in the dark feeling for the keyhole, holding the key a certain way so it turns? are there stairs leading up to the door ? its scaring me now

    I have a hard time opening my door too. As long as you do this in daylight, it should be fine.
