Is it normal that i can't stand the toilet seat left up?

well whenever a guy leaves the toilet seat up, it really pisses me off, why can't they just put the goddamn seat back down (it would only take less than a second or more. Also why do guys lift the seat up, I seriously don't see why they need to?? o.O The only difference is that the whole is a bit bigger by like few cm or whatever!??

Well, we figure that you'd be annoyed if we peed on the seat (some of us sprinkle while we tinkle) so we lift it for you. Equality being what it is, if we can lift it before we pee, why can't you put it down before you pee?

we aren't supposed to put it down as we are ladies, and your meant to be a gentleman and put it back down for us out of respect..

Hmm, but what happens if women live alone and lift the toilet seat for cleaning purposes? Is it okay if they put the seat back down then?

Not trying to be mean, by the way. I'm just exploring this.

  • Has anyone watched that Mythbusters where they show that when a toilet flushes it flings little shitty-water particles everywhere in a 6 foot radius? hahahhaa Mythbusters sucks but I find myself putting the toilet lid down in fear of poop particles landing on my toothbrush bristles (which I try to hide).

    Damn mythbusters...

but really, how hard is it to look and put the seat down if it's up?

You clearly have no tried peeing with a penis before. It isn't one solid stream, sometimes it can dribble or slightly spray. Having the toilet seat down will leave pee on it in most cases.

Anyways, more on topic, I've never really understood the whole argument about the toilet seat being left up or down. Both sides don't really have a good argument. Yes it takes guys a second to lift it up, but it also takes girls the same amount of time to lower the seat. Really, the best options would either be A) lower both toilet seats after going so then the next person regardless of gender will have to lift it up. Equal amount of effort. Or B) stop caring about it so much. Seriously, it's a toilet seat. There are SO many bigger things you should be worrying about in the world then whether the toilet seat is up or down.

I know that there are bigger things to worry about, and ofc I do have my own BIG worries. This is an everyday annoyance, so that's why I'm posting it.
