Is it normal that i care about animals more than most people

I live in a house of five people me, my mom, and 3 others(we are not related) but, I desperately want my dogs to live with us instead their with my brother. The thing is some time I think about what I would do if the house caught on fire. No matter what the order of things that I would do would be... save my mom, save my dogs, then save our stuff. Every time I think of this its always the same and I never consider saving the other three over my dogs.

    Funny if you knew me you would know how much i love my mother but in case of a fire i honestly would not be able to choose between her and our dog other than of course my mom should be able to get out without my help since she can walk and is not overweight well unless something falls on her or something like that still...

    The biggest reason we love animals is, because they cannot talk. If our pets could talk I can just imagine what theyd have to say...

    That's understandable. I can see how this would creep into your mind. I hated living with a bunch of people i didnt like. Crazy people.. anyways, this is normal.

    That's why I asked the question though. There's nothings wrong with the others their perfectly able, but to just leave them in the house like that makes me feel evil. even though despite feeling bad about it id chose my dogs over them any day.

    Well luckily for me all of the people I live with are able to walk on their own and run out of the house. My two dogs are dumb enough to stay where the fire is because they both love the fireplace and any hot places. So yeah, I'd swoop my dogs up and run like hell, and just hope everybody else made it out all right.
