Is it normal that i change my pad every 15-45 minutes?

I've recently started my period, (yes, I'm quite a late bloomer) and I've been changing my pad as little as every 15 minutes to up to every 45 minutes. I use ultra thin maxi-coverage, from U By Kotex. Somebody please tell me if this is normal?

    No, It's not normal to have such a heavy flow. It's nothing you should panic about, but seeing a doctor for testing is a good idea. There's a few things it could be and they're treatable/manageable.

      Well, she's using "ultra thins," so it might not even be that heavy of a flow.

      OP, they make pads for the days where your period is heavier. If you try these and still need to change them that frequently, then you might want to follow charli's advice and see a gyno.

        Good point. I just read tge maxi coverage bit, which may mean something else there.
