Is it normal that i constantly dream about falling in love with dogs?

I keep on dreaming that I fall in love with and cuddle dogs its really starting to bother me. It annoys me and disturbs me a bit. I like dogs but not that much. Though I really want a dog badly but just as a pet. Is it really normal to dream about things that you really want like this?

    I'm actually not a dog but a person transform into a dog, but if you feed me peanut butter every night I'll turn back into the handsome man I used to be

    Well lately I've been dreaming about that foxy French Poodle down the block. The other day when she stopped to raise her leg (that's when I saw clearly that she is a female) to take a piss on my front lawn I saw a certain dreamy-eyed look as she gazed at me watching her out my living room window. So I don't know. Maybe the feeling is mutual? I've stocked up on condoms just in case. I'm suspicious of this German Sheppard I've seen digging around the neighborhood, so it pays to be careful. Don't want to catch anything he's got.
