Is it normal that i count syllables and words

With no discernible pattern, I'll count, in my head, the number of words in a given sentence or syllables in a word or sentence. I like them to be even numbers and sometimes I'll count them off on my fingers until they reach a multiple of 5.

that's really good for you! It helps develop the mathematical part of your brain: should make your mental maths better. Can you do quick calculations well without a calculator?

OH MY GOODNESS! You are EXACTLY like me! I've always thought that this was some sort of weird OCD thing that I had, and I always wondered whether or not other people did the same thing...feels good not being the only one now :P So to me...you're normal ;)
