Is it normal that i count things like this?

Alright, whenever I see something, I count it. Stripes, stairs, you name it. Here's where it gets a bit stranger. If the number is over 9, say, a two-digit number, I add those digits together. So if I had 23 of something, I add 2 and 3 to get 5. Everything has it's "magic number". Is this normal?

It's not common, but it's hardly unheard-of. If the need to count things isn't messing up your life, it's not a disorder.

mild case of OCD, you like uniformity and need to confirm things in your head to make sense of them. Whilst not entirely normal its nothing to be scared of, embrace it and enjoy it.

  • Some people actually made a 'science' out of it, it's called numerology.

  • Not normal, but not strange.

If it keeps you happy then fuck what anybody else thinks, but if it bothers you then go and see somebody about it.
