Is it normal that i cry tears of joy on my birthday?

I love birthdays. I really look forward to my birthday for about a month before it and then in the last few days my stomach churns a lot of the time and my breathing goes a bit funny whenever I think about it. By the night before my birthday I'm not so much excited anymore, I'm emotional. I feel really special. When it hits midnight, the start of my birthday, I start crying because I'm so happy. I also cry tears of joy when I wake up in the morning of the day of my birthday sleepover. We don't really do anything we wouldn't normally do at a sleepover but it makes me feel so loved and happy that it's because of my birthday. Is this normal?

i would say not really normal, but that depends on your emotional level and how sensitive you are to happy moments to go that far. but it takes people of all kinds i suppose.

Most people are not THAT emotional about their birthdays, but I see nothing wrong with it though. It's good that you are happy about it. Enjoy it.

Used to do this when I was little. Birthdays were a big deal back then.. Biggest punishment to bestow on one of your friends who made you mad, "your not coming to my birthday!"
