Is it normal that i despise republicans and homophobes?

Whenever I see a man walking down the street wearing a shirt that says "Marriage is between one man and woman." I want to sucker punch them in the face. How can they sleep at night knowing they want to restrict rights for another group of people? Especially Republicans. At the 2012 Debates, the question came up about healthcare, and a group of the audience yelled "Let them die!" It's so ridiculous.

    Homophobes are very difficult not to despise. I was watching Newsnight a couple of nights ago, and they had this piece of homophobic scum on who couldn't even justify his support for oppressing gay people when he was questioned about it.

    Conservatives at least have valid points to make.

    all republicans? Or just the homophobic ultra conservative bible thumpers? I dont understand homophobes either, or why people think that some groups should be discrininated against (or treated better than others). I think anyone should be able to marry, even if one of them isnt human (but they were intelligent) but i do consider myself a republican, if only cause i agree with their stance on business and that the government shouldent have to tell people how to live.

    Not all Republicans are homophobes. I will however admit that the one's showcased on tv rarely appear sympathetic to homosexuals and their plight. So I can understand your dislike with them, but please don't assume that all of them are like Mitt Romney.

      Republicans just irk me, maybe because they believe in less government. I disagree with many of their stances too.

            So you hate some gay people. That makes you a slight homophobe. And if you hate homophobes, that means you hate yourself. And if you hate someone, it's because they're a homophobe and/or a Republican. Therefore, you are a homophobic Republican. The very people you say you "hate".

    Republicans and homophobes are people with beliefs. You don't agree with them and they probably don't agree with you. People hate certain things it's normal. Just accept the fact that just because you hate them, they won't stop.

    I tend to be fiscally conservative and voted Republican years ago. But they have receded into the past so far that I look for them to try to pass a law that it is now the 19th century instead of the 21st.

    I would feel insulted to be called a member of the Angry Old White Men's Party now, but it is fun watching them tryimg to refute reality and go hide in the past. And I do wonder about this: Why are some people so unable to accept the fact that in this complex world things can and do change, eg, as in the case of evolution. But I forgot that's science unsupported by belief I'm the good fairy.
