Is it normal that i didn't quit my job, instead i just stopped going?
I'm a full time college student finishing up my BS. I have certain physical limitations due to injuries and arthritis. I fully disclosed school and physical limitations before accepting this position and was informed that these would not be an issue by my actual future boss. The company had two copies of my class schedule and dr's reports. They would constantly schedule me to work when I was supposed to be in class. I went to class anyway. Then, when they lost several employees, they changed my job to an extremely physical position which I was told was permanent. I reminded them of my physical issues and of course, we all know how that goes. I was never late. Never called off work. Performed my job duties as asked. Didn't rock the boat. I figured hey, they don't respect me or other employees. So I'm damn sure not going to respect them with two weeks notice. I didn't actually quit...I just stopped going. Thanks for the rant.
