Is it normal that i dislike my puppy after my other dog died?

A few months back I had to get my 14 year old Pekingese put down about 4 Months before she was put down we got a Siberian husky pup and don't get me wrong I love him I just look at him sometimes and it just doesn't feel the same. He is very energetic and mischievious. I had no issue with him before our other dog was put down but now I just look at him and think of her. Is it normal? This is a serious post too no trolling please

    Your just missing your old dog. It's fine. Just give your puppy the same attention :)

    I got a new Dane puppy within a month of my other boy dying. When I was holding him on the ride home all I could think about was that I didn't want him. I was still mourning my other boy. But within a few days of him loving me I loved him back.
