Is it normal that i do things that jeopardize me and people i know?

I don't know why, but I tend to do things that not only put my me at risk, but people I know as well. It's like I do stupid shit without thinking about what my decision could cause and then after i've done it is when I realize what I have done. I am always doing things I regret later on. Is this normal?
