Just out of curiosity, am I the only one who thinks today's music is really dull? It's nowhere near as good as it was, say back in 80's or even 90's, IMO, and everything now sounds more or less exactly the same. Does anyone else feel the same way?

You're not looking hard enough. There's interesting great music being made right now, just not making it onto TV or mainstream radio.
Music written by committee to dumb down the masses. You can trace the decline with each passing decade. Sure, a few good songs get through, but they are the exception to the rule. Most are diabolical dross performed by miming clones with autotune backing.
