Is it normal that i don't like the term bully?

Whenever I hear the term bully It seems like they are making light of it. The word used to mean excellent. No shit. Personally I think we should call them all assholes. If they were any other age, that's what they would call them.

I don't care for the term "bully" because I feel it disrespectful of bulldogs!

I call them assholes. All of them. No matter what age.

Alright I agree but little kids cant cuss. What else are they suppose to tell you? If a four year old comes and say "Mommy hes being an asshole" you know hes going to get a spanking or a stern scolding at the least. I also don't think anti bully campaigns would go well if they started teaching kids this word. Just imagine "Dont be an asshole". Now admittedly that is pretty funny to listen to but think about the children.

But it doesn't mean "excellent" anymore, does it?

I think instead of using a different word people should take bullying more seriously. Just putting a different word in the place of "bully" or "bullying" won't change people's attitudes to it.

I never thought of it that way but you hit the nail on the head. Not sure I understand the last sentence though. Sadly there are bullies- er, I mean assholes of all ages.
