Is it normal that i don't like to sit on toilet seats?

So ever since I was a kid, (like 6 or 7 to be exact), I have not sat on a toilet seat. I think they are disgusting and I can't help but think about who else's butt cheeks have sat in the same spot! It all started when I went to the park and my dad put toilet paper on the seat, I guess it made me think hard about germs. So now, every time I take a s**t I lift up both seats and squat. I've even adapted to putting toilet paper in the toilet before so the back-splash doesn't reach my cheeks. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

    I was never told how to "properly" sit while taking a shit so shitting without squatting feels awkward and you can't push as much shit out either.

        Only if your knees are higher than your hips. That is, you'd have to be squatting with your feet on the actual toilet.

        People doing that is one of the reasons public bathrooms are disgusting.

    I also squat over the toilet. I used to sit on the toilet seat but it was just so uncomfortable for me and after a while of squatting, sitting on the toilet just feels so wrong. It also works out my thigh muscles.

    LMAO @VirgilManly I've only told my best friend about this, and I don't think he'd appreciate me sitting on his lap while I take a dump. Also, I read an article on Facebook about how squatting is more healthy for you because it straightens out your colon, allowing you to defecate without strain. Never imagined talking about this on a blog LOL
