Is it normal that i don't really like mr. brightside by the killers?

Oddly enough, I don't even remember it ever having extensive radio play, but I remember many other songs from 2004. I just don't find Mr. Brightside to be much different than half of the music on pop stations from 2004-present, and I fail to see how it is catchy or memorable, or how it has achieved the success it has. To me it is just another song. I don't hate it, but I'm not crazy about it either. Everyone I meet seems to love this song and even a Google search doesn't yield much other than positive feedback for it. Is there anyone else out there who is indifferent towards it or doesn't like it?

    It is an okay song in my opinion. I have certainly heard better, but I have heard worse. Music is subjective, so everyone is not going to like the same songs or music.

    I used to like it, but then I went to university (and this wasn't even when the song was still relatively new, I'm talking 2012-15 here) and it got played EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. at our campus nightclub.

    I just got tired of hearing it and singing it, and I also don't like that kind of music for a nightclub either. I'm more into my Hip Hop and RnB.

    Overplaying a song can kill it, no matter how good the song is.

    They're alright, I guess. I had the misfortune of spending fifteen years of my life in Las Vegas, Nevada so I'm relatively familiar with The Killers, because they're a Vegas band.

        Well, for for starters it's hot as Hell, and the everything is so fake and plastic. There is much douchebaggery amongst the people of this wasteland.

          Whilst i appreciate your reply,i personally love the heat,and have many fake friends,and countless amounts of fake jewellery and wigs.call me naive but what do you mean by "douchebaggery".

    Its the Album's (Sam's Town) etc. That were great, not the song. Mr Brightside is ok. The rest are spectacular for that era of New alt music

    That song is nostalgic for me. I had their album when I was a teen and played it like crazy. Anyway, it's really okay that you don't like a song.
