Is it normal that i don't share my thoughts with anyone?

I don't share anything, fears, wishes, what happened at work, the stuff you share with someone close, i don't share these with anyone. Normal?

Personally I don't feel like sharing things because I feel it will be used against me at a later point in life...

Normal. Imo we are breed this way now. I dont share with anyone who doesnt reciprocate. After years of being an open book with nothing but judgement in return, I gave up. I rather enjoy the energy I spare by ridding of the so- called "obligation" to tell anyone anything.

yeah I don't tell people my problems because they never pay attention, yet I always listen to my friends problems anyway...

  • These days I don't have anyone close enough to tell to.

Earlier though I had a couple of close friends, I never told them anything because1. I felt I'm burdening them with my troubles. 2. They may use whatever information I give them, against me in the future. 3. After sharing, I never feel better. I feel weak and vulnerable and I keep wondering about the rationality of my decision.

I feel EXACTLY the same way. It's pretty lonely, but I prefer it to being betrayed and hurt where I'm most vulnerable, and then wondering why I was gullible and have such bad judgment in whom to trust. And I close up even more.

  • The opposite will conceal such things to better effect. Most people think that you should be really quiet to hide things, but silence says alot to a sharp person, and more expression is noticed. It is actually the more that someone talks, the less you can figure out about them.

It's a very little known fact I learned studying psychology. They're giving you the impression by way of what you're hearing, instead of allowing others to watch their subtleties as is easy to do with quiet people.

People will work things out to a degree. You should invest in half truths and trivial malarkey, it will mix the messages up.

Start here, if you want. I don't believe it's ideal, but sometimes it's easier to start talking about these things when it's anonymous and with relative strangers.

Is it that you don't have anyone that you feel comfortable sharing with, or do you tell anyone anything?
