Is it normal that i don't want to live beyond 60?

I feel as if I would have lived a long enough life at that point (Living 60 years is a very long time in my opinion) and I don't want to live beyond 60 because of the higher risks of Alzheimer's and other conditions brought on by old age. I plan on even killing myself off at that age. IIN?

Damn, should I kill myself, then?
I'm 66, living on a sailing boat in the Caribbean with my 25 year old girlfriend
Of course I'm not as fast, strong and agile as I was when I was your age, but I'm having a wonderful life and really don't want it to end just yet.
No Alzheimer's or other conditions brought on by old age, yet and other than a few aches and pains, well, life is still pretty good.
Perhaps you should wait a few years before you make a commitment to kill yourself when you turn 60?

A lot of young people say things like that. I'm the same age as you. I still put about 3000 km. on my motorcycle every summer and cut 20 cords of stove wood and split it by hand. I'm still working part time 'cause I enjoy what I do. Life ain't so bad.
Now if I could just find a 25 yr. old girlfriend, who likes to go fishing, it would be even better.

So it has to be a 25 year old though....OK Kind of sickening. I get it.

It's a metaphor dummy. How's your 10 yr. old girlfriend doing, anyway?

They are out there. They are so tired of the little ignorant boys like lufa and their childish games, who have no stamina and ejaculate before even entering.
They value our age and wisdom, and what we might lack in speed and agility, we more than make up for with patience, kindness and appreciation.
Stick it out, you'll find her.

I bet she's having a hell of a lot better life than 95% of the people posting on this site. Snorkeling in crystal clear water, visiting exotic places most folks can only dream of going and living life to the fullest.
She has no debts, she's learning to navigate, engine maintenance & repair and to sail for pleasure or possibly as a profession.
Her future is bright and she is happy. Not too much desperation in a life like that, I would think.
        How's your life, lufa?

Dumb old fool, still have trouble understanding what people are saying to you. Time for you to settle in to your nursing home grandpa.

So when did you rob the cradle with this girl and groom her? Do you pay her by the hour? How did you lure her in-opened a suitcase of cash?

Life's great gypsy, but I don't need to brag about it (those who've read my posts already have an idea) like an old fogie like you who has nothing else going for him but allegedly being rich.

She probably winces every time she has to touch your lizard skin, but the girl's gotta pay the bills somehow. Good thing she found a mark, I mean sucker, I mean a desperate sugar daddy like you.

Unlike you, the beautiful women I've dated wanted me for my looks and personality, they only found out later that I also have money.

Gee, all this time I thought you were a woman! Surprise!
If my gal wants money, she'd better get a job, cause there ain't much here. We are together because we want to be, there are no ulterior motives.
You attacks are so personal, do you think an anonymous person on the internet can trouble me at all? However it is downright disgusting that you would attack my girl. You have absolutely no class at all.
The intent of most of my posts is to show that there are options in life; not necessarily better, but different. So many who post here can't see a way out, feeling trapped, not in control and are falling into depression and self loathing at a time in their lives when they should be looking forward to getting up in the morning wondering what great things will happen to them today.
That you have so much animosity towards me leads me to believe little you say here is based on fact, but a bitterness toward anyone having a great time on this planet, especially someone who never fell into the humdrum existence most settle for.
Whatever the truth is, truthfully, I couldn't give a crap. How about we just agree to disagree and stop conversing, as I'm pretty tired of your hatefulness and ridiculously childish posts.

Of course you did, I bet you don't even remember how to put your pants on every day, you don't have to keep reminding us you're a confused old bat, we know that already.

So you're broke and she still wants you? lol Must be one of those sick fetishes she's into, 'age-play' or daddy-issues type. But since you've been evasive about it, I'm going to assume you either robbed the cradle or this is your fantasy gf that you invented to try to look cool on the net, which is pretty sad and pathetic if you think about it.

Keep dreaming hag, I won't hesitate to ridicule you whenever I please. You started this and now you realized you bit off more than you could chew with those rusty dentures of yours. Too bad for you.

I don't know what your bitch sees in you, since you come across as a scoundrel on the net. She's probably mentally or physically handicapped, otherwise why else would anyone want a broke 66 yr old half wit like you?

You know, on second thought your post might have meant I'm less than the perfect catch.
I resemble that remark! I am the perfect man; I'm built like a Greek god, the bestest sailor on earth, and best of all, I'm very, very humble.
So don't be mean and until you've seen me in a thong bikini, you haven't experienced ecstasy. Oh My god, I've even grossed myself out with that one, sorry.

My dad is 65 and happily retired. He travels around the world and cycles all the major rivers of the world. He lives for adventure and is fit, happy and free. We all work towards that. Just keep yourself fit and old age may not be as bad as you think.

Being elderly is no excuse to stop living, because some people are still (or may even start) living the good life when they get to be in that age group. My Nana is in her mid-late 70s and is as spry as ever. She has a sharp mind, a witty sense of humor, and says/does what she wants without giving a crap what anybody thinks of her. I can't speak for her but she seems to be very happy with her life, considering all she's been through. I think everyone should strive to be as awesome as my Nana.

You would find one of Isaac Asimov's book interesting. I, sadly, forget the title, but it's one of the 14 books set in the Foundation universe. In the book's world, there's little space on Earth, so people are killed when they reach 60 years old, unless they made some super important contributions. :)

I am also afraid of getting Alzheimer's. I take preventative measures, even though I'm only 36. You're never too young to start. Both grandparents on my father's side got it. And I had to take care of them. It was a nightmare. My hope is that I will die before I ever get it. But at least I'm not biologically related to them (since my dad was adopted). I'd only want to live longer if my health would somehow get better. I find few things enjoyable to being old, which are unfortunately limited to: 1) spoiling grandchild (which I'll never have, because I'm child-free by choice), and 2) getting away with things that adults get punished for (but I would never want to be one of THOSE people). And I can go on about how youth is lauded (especially in attractive women) and old age is despised (especially if you're poor and seen as a burden). But this comment would never end.

I wouldn't put a number to it, but when I'd become unable to control most of my body or mind and have lost everyone I knew (likely to old age) I wouldn't mind it being over. But I'm afraid there's always going to be somebody you leave behind.
