Is it normal that i fantasize about being in the star trek universe

Before becoming obsessed with Star Trek I wanted to become a video game developer of some sort, but now I want to be a astronautical engineer and build spaceships and pilot them and explore the galaxy, not to mention blow some stuff up with high powered energy weapons..and I also want humanity to focus it's efforts on space travel and meeting other sentient species instead of unimportant things like the president taking a lengthy vacation,I'm pretty sure this is fairly normal, what do you fine people at is it normal think?

I too want to explore strange new worlds of naked alien ladies. I definitely want to go where no one has gone before.

I find it... fascinating... that at the time of this log entry, it is considered "47% Normal". Any REAL Starfleet crew will understand the humor in this.

Totally normal! Except the blowing stuff up with lasers part. What is there to blow up? Asteroids?

I've always held the belief that either us silly humans will get up off our asses and start developing space travel / colonization OR we'll just end up being so caught up in our own trivial crap that we end up dying off once we drain this planet of its resources. I wish it had happened already (the exploring space part, not dying off). I would SO join a space exploration program. Maybe even like, space marines. I can see it now -

Is this who I think it is? If so...

Dude, you live Star Trek. You eat Star Trek. You breathe Star Trek. GIVE IT A BREAK! THE REST OF US ARE GOING CRAZY!

If this is not the person I think it is...

I apoligize. Just don't get so deep into your "trekkitis" (Ha, btw. Thanks for the word GeorgeMcBob.) that it takes over your life. This is my warning to you. It's nearly impossible to get rid of. My own brother, whom I address in the beginning of this comment, has fallen into the black hole of "trekitis."

*cries* We've been trying to save him for almost a year now but... *cries* It's like a drug. He always wants more... and more... and infinitely MORE star trek stuff. We've almost given up hope...

Save yourself before it's too late!

Sister, It's me! Hello from the Delta Quadrant. I just met a Q! May Star Trek echo throughout time and space forever.

I think you have a case of trekkitis. This is a fairly common ailment among basement dwellers. It can be cured by exposure to sunlight and loss of virginity.

I've gotten plenty of sunlight. My little white Ford has "NCC-1701" on the back window. I've also had sex with two (attractive) women in that car. Miracles DO happen!!!

Not all trekkies are basement dwellers. And loss of virginity results in STD's.
