Is it normal that I have a fear of pregnant women? I don't hate them it's just that I feel uptight, nervous, and even freaked out around all pregnant women. I can't stand being around them (I won't even watch labor and delivery shows on TV). Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to be rude to someone because they're pregnant but I hate being around them.
I'm also scared of pregnant women, honestly. It gives me the willies when I see their bellies moving around with the little alien kicking inside. Plus I've seen too many tv episodes where some unsuspecting person ends up trapped in an elevator or stuck in a car with a woman who has to give birth. I'm terrified of being in an enclosed space with a pregnant lady for that very reason.
They scare the hell out of me.
My Mom was pregnant 3 times when I was in high school and her hormones made her VERY violent.
Very violent.
Very very violent.
...dear Jesus oh so violent.
...I am forever scarred by it, it will haunt me for the rest of my fucking life.
So my fear is event based, but still fear nonetheless.
I'm a woman and do not have any younger siblings so I have no clue where the fear comes from.
