Is it normal that i feel college is not "the best years of your life?"
After this academic quarter, I'll be done with my 2nd year at a state university and I honestly can say that I'm not really enjoying it. I mean yeah, there are parties and all but they're nothing like what you see in movies and media with the wild parties, easy one night stands, and drunk people having a blast. I find it difficult to make friends since you're not allowed to talk in class or else the professor gets pissed and calls you out in front of everyone. Then once class is over, everyone just zip up their bags and bolt out the door. Also, I feel that some of the required classes that they make you take are somewhat useless and have no real value in our everyday lives. They make you purchase overpriced textbook which you don't even go through half of the book. Lastly, the price of college is damn expensive! Most of my classmates are already in 30k dollars in student loan debt. I'm just very lucky and thankful that I can afford to pay out of pocket with the additional help of the parentals.
I'm actually 24 years old so I'm not a "traditional" college student. I did work full-time but now part-time to accommodate my school schedule. Aviation major with emphasis on Professional Pilot.
