I hate dog haters. There is no reason in my opinon why someone should hate dogs. Dogs are one of the sweetest, intelligent, gentlest, loyal, and protective species alive. I believe that those who hate dogs are 1 of 3 things if not all of them: Cold-hearted, disturbed, or simply oblivious to how good it can be to own a dog.
Or they're afraid of dogs. Or they're allergic. Or they have been injured by a dog in the past. Or they have witnessed a beloved pet killed by a dog. Or they're small and can easily be overwhelmed by a large animal knocking them over and walking on them.
I don't hate dogs, but I am frightened of breeds that weigh more than about 40 or 50 pounds. I also saw a pair of neighborhood dogs tear my pet kitten almost in half, breaking her back, when I was younger. Since then, I've been a lot more wary about dogs and now have only cats.
Does that make me cold-hearted, disturbed or oblivious in your oh-so-judgmental book?
Dogs also have a lot of annoying downsides, mainly due to the lack of diligence of the owners.
Some breeds are hairy and they shed fucking everywhere.
Some dogs are fucking annoying assholes. They keep me up all night with their incessant barking even bark even when let in. The owners become completely oblivious to it but if you complain, then you "hate" dogs and you are a cruel asshole.
Dogs can be really dangerous when aggressive. I find it lolsofunny when owners say "My dog is trained and gentle" but if I touch the damned dog the wrong way (like really, how the hell am I supposed to know that he doesn't like his shoulder touched?) they say "Oh well he hates being touched there, you shouldn't have touched him there, that set him off". Give me a damned booklet before letting me pet your dog or shut the fuck up and take responsibility for your obviously poorly trained beast.
Bonus points if it's an owner of a supposedly "gentle" pit bull saying "you shouldn't have let your kid near the dog, the kid set him off" when their dog bites a kid. Newsflash, dumbass, if being touched on the shoulder or simply being in the presence of a child is enough to set your dog off, your dog is not fucking gentle.
Hell, I once watched a dog snap my little kitten in two. Makes me super gun-shy around any dog I am around.
Experience with bad dogs and bad owners is enough to make someone hate dogs and I wouldn't hold that against them.

Not a day passes that someone isn’t attacked and badly injured (often killed) by a dog, or dogs. So far this year, 14 people in the US have been murdered by dogs (13 of them by pit bull-types).
Additionally, people are constantly arguing – sometimes going so far as to shoot another person – over dogs. Last year, a man in Florida shot his neighbor for complaining about his barking fleabag. Earlier this year, two people in Texas were shot and killed over dog shit. A couple years ago, a man in Chicago shot and killed a neighbor over a dog. And these are just the cases I could recall without doing a Google search – there are dozens of others.
Dogs are unnatural creatures in that they did not evolve naturally, but were created by man from wolves. As such, they possess characteristics detrimental to nature. For example, dogs, unlike the wolves from which they are descended, kill purely for sport. They will chase down and rip apart chickens, goats, or anything else they can. Videos of dogs chasing and killing livestock show the marauding demons enjoying themselves and they appear to experience a particular thrill as the animals shriek in pain as they are torn limb-from-limb. They do the same to wildlife, chasing down and killing fawns, nesting waterfowl and anything else they can catch. Just recently, a dog killed a swan in the Orlando area. And if this wasn’t bad enough, dog excrement kills everything it touches, then washes into bodies of water and kills marine life. People who love nature, animals in general and the environment cannot possibly love dogs!
Dogs are also the filthiest animals on earth. They are the only mammals, other than pigs and rats, that will eat human shit and even pigs and rats won’t eat it unless they’re starving, but dogs lap it up like ice cream, then lick their owners in the face. They also stick their noses into, and wallow in, animal remains or anything else filthy they can find.
And the coprophiliacs who own dogs are just as disgusting as their worthless mutts. Normal human beings do not follow something around, watch it take a dump, then reach down and pick up a pile of shit in their hands – like I said coprophiliacs!
Obviously if dogs were as 'dangerous' or 'filthy' as you say, humans would either set out to exterminate every dog and/or separate themselves from dogs through relocating them in the wild. I've been around dozens of dogs over the course of my life and not once was I ever mauled, scratched, or bitten.

Every person who has been around dogs was around them "over the course of" his/her "life" and was never mauled, scratched or bitten until the day he/she WAS "mauled, scratched or bitten." No child was ever killed by a dog, until the day he/she WAS killed by a dog. Duh!
In addition to being dangerous and filthy, dogs also transmit numerous zoonotic illnesses to humans: worms, protozoan diseases, bacterial/viral diseases, fungal diseases and skin parasites. Furthermore, a recent German study revealed dogs also carry and transmit the MMTV virus, which causes breast cancer in women.
No normal human would brag about wallowing around with the filthiest animals on earth!

To me, the environment is the biggest ISSUE on earth and dogs are destroying it! Only a sadist approves of an animal that chases down and rips wildlife and livestock animals limb-from-limb as they shriek in pain. Do you enjoy pulling wings off butterflies, too?

If your interest is saving the environment then you put your time into trying to pull the world away from fossil fuels, find a better way for people to dispose of trash and their own waste, heck you can even help certain animals from going extinct instead of wasting your time preaching on a discussion site!
I hate dog owners that let there dog jump on you. It's like they think that if they let their giant dog tackle you to the ground you will instantly love them. It doesn't work like that with everyone, please be considerate to other people.

I have been chased by dogs for many years and when i was younger i did hate dogs.
I now realise that its not the dogs fault its the racist cunts that set their dogs on me.
The dogs just thought they were protecting their owner.

Humans hunt down and kill living things all the time! You just hate because you never been accepted by a true loyal dog. I own a black lab and she is straight up most loyal playful amazing creature ever! I show her love and she shows it back! Just like kids who grow up beaten they beat people. My dog is apart of my family and yeah you showed up in any threatening manner she won't like it. Just as if my brothers were here and you showed up threatening they wont like it. Kids steal fight do bad shit and if a parent allows it that on parent. Same with my dog or dog owners you dont train and show them right from wrong yeah they act up but that not on the dog that on owner so dont hate dogs. And next time you kill a mouse a fly a snake whatever you scared of and dont wamt around remember a dog is a straight up animal it what it does. Do you hate dolphins just as much as you hate dogs? Because it's been proven that they enjoy murder for fun, though I've never heard any studies say that dogs murder for fun. Do YOU get a thrill by house cats playing with their prey, clawing it and smacking it around for an extended period of time, before finally killing it? Because they do that.
By the way, in case you were't aware, lots of farms have dogs protect the livestock.
I can't understand why someone would hate dogs for no real reason, though I think everyone else here who's posted have listed very good reasons for hating or being afraid of dogs.
As long as they don't hurt the dogs, what does it matter if someone hates them, though?
I find most people that hate dogs are afraid of them and dogs pick up on this very quickly. That or allergies :)
I think it's so stupid to hate certain animals. I can understand being scared of an animal that attacked you, or not wanting to be around them if you're allergic, but not literally hating them. I especially hate animal abuse, it's so sad :(

Not ALL dogs do that, just ones that aren't tamed. Ergo, it is unreasonable to hate ALL dogs, or cats, or seagulls, etc. If one was viciously attacked by a certain animal, it IS understandable to have a fear of it. I didn't say THAT was unreasonable. Calm dafuq down.
You are freaking delusional! ALL dogs, particularly the larger breeds, will chase and kill wildlife, livestock, etc. if given half a chance. All you have to do is read the news to know this. Just recently, a family moved to Montana with their two golden retrievers that had never even seen livestock and the monsters were in the process of chasing down and killing a rancher's goats when he shot and killed them. A pit bull in California that had never seen a horse before attacked the horse and the rider was thrown and almost killed. In Florida recently, a dog that had never seen swans before chased and killed a nesting female swan. In England, a number of swans have been killed by people's "tame" pet dogs. Dogs are freaking killing machines!
And as for "tame," dogs aren't wild animals, they were created by man from wolves, ergo, they are all "tame." Sheesh!

I had a dog but I also had a rooster this rooster I had before it hatched he was cool as if u had food he wood look at u with his littel eyes and take the smallest peace from the corner of your plate he was epic but my dog killed him so I gave the dog to the pound I hope it rotten in hell
There is many reasons to hate dogs. I do not hate dogs though. They are filthy, can not bath themselves, will eat anything including poop for themselves and other animals, they can sometimes be hard to train, they bark which bothered neighbor, males hump anything, They are overly excitable. Now a well trained dog does not have these type of issue but an untrained dog usually have behavioural problems. Animals are a hassle and make a mess. When you own one you must deal with this.
I hate assholes who obsessive over a bitchy little dog and call it they're fucking baby.

I can understand if someone has a phobia of dogs that they can't help but most of the dog haters I've met always say it's because dogs are vicious. They never take into account the fact that some dogs are vicious bastards because of how they're treated. I had a Rottweiler up until a few months ago and he never even tried to bite someone. I just look at a pug and think "How can someone hate this thing? They're hilarious."
Do you know that pigs are actually more intelligent than dogs? I adore dogs, but I also love all animals. I'm sure you have an animal you don't like that someone else might love, as humans it's natural to dislike and like different things.
