I try to make myself look like a furry character a lot, so I file my nails to a point to make claws. Im pretty good at maintaining my nails, but i dont think its normal to have them in a point. Does any one else do this?

Like another user I advise acrylic stiletto nails. So much better. Stronger and look better. You can also get any design you like.
I cut my fingernails jaggard and sharp to make myself a more formidable opponent when I was in grade 3. I don't recall the outcome.
idk i think pointy nails are pretty cool. not exactly practical, but if you go for short points it's not too bad. gotta be careful when you scratch itches though because you can accidentally make yourself bleed pretty easy :0

A word of caution if you get Acrylic Nails: NEVER EVER stretch your eyes with them. There's a photo of a woman on the internet who got a horrific infection after she accidentally scratched her eye.
