Is it normal that i forget to eat??

So I have had problems with eating enough in the past, for a majority of my adolescence I was self conscious and would purposely go days with out eating, or limit my per day-calorie intake to less than 900 a day. However, I have grown up and gotten over my fear of gaining weight and can enjoy food just as much as anyone. Except sometimes, when I'm really busy or really stressed (which is most days) I simply forget to eat all day, or I will tell myself I don't have time to eat. For instance, all I've had today is a diet coke and water. I don't feel hungry, even though it's already well past dinner, and I have no desire to eat, not to mention barely enough money to waste on food. Is this ok? I know you're supposed to eat three meals a day, but honestly I don't see the point. I have more important things to do with my time than sit down to eat a meal.

I've been down this road. I almost died. Especially if you have a busy day, eat. Now I eat pretty much whatever I want but I'm still really skinny with all the exercise I'm doinPr

If you're only 106 you're tiiiny. o.o but it's not really healthy to miss meals, still it's normal. The past week I've been moving and I've been so busy I forgot to eat almost every day... But I still ate once I finished up for the night so my body wouldn't curse me later :p

You dot have time to eat but you jab time to post this? Haha just a thought. Do you take any medication? It could be a symptom of that. I get it sometimes too, it can get to the point that I literally don't even know if I ate or not.

  • You actually gain weight by not eating. Ur body goes into a saving mode and starts storing fats and it makes it harder to lose weight.

I do the exact same thing. I don't ever hardly have an appetite & forget to eat all the time so your not alone. And I have a fast metabolism so a slow one doesn't mean anything. I've been to the dr & there's nothing wrong with me.

Your metabolism is probably super slow from skipping so many meals. Be careful cuz now your body will hang onto that fat you do eat cuz you body thinks it's starving.

Granted I'll have crazy days too and end up skipping meals but I try to get a little something in. Granola bar, apple, things like that. You could grab a protien shake too. It's better than soda.

Ramen is cheap and quick. Not eating only does more harm to your body.

Sounds like to me that u like being able to not eat and that you are aware of it more than u will admit. I think about me weight eveyday, even though u am a size 4 after having 2 kids. Try atleast breakfat and dinner. Good luck!

Ya that's totally normal. I do that like I'll be really hungry but I'm running an errand or whatever and when I get home I just won't be hungry anymore and I forget about it. I'll go whole days without even realizing I havnt eaten. but then I go and eat a ton other days. So who knows?
