Is it normal that i get bored/don`t find a reason for writing?

Ok, I may be suffering of borderlands and/or other personality disorders, just so you are warned.
Anyway, I like writing a lot. I usually only write when I am reading another book, which is fine by me.
My only question is why am I getting bored or something like that after writing some chapters? I mean, sometimes it`s like I can`t find any reasons to write further, so I just quit. I am usually pissed at myself for doing so, but still I can`t continue the story.
Is this normal? Could anyone give me some advices please? Should I just force myself to write further?

its okey..as long as you can still think of stories to make..sometimes its okey to just imagine it first and edit it out in your mind than writing it and get frustrated coz you cant finish it..
    i do it..
    i hope it helps..

I used to write a lot too, I had wanted to become a free lance writer but I would always lose interest in my stories, lose track, create a whole NEW story and abandon my previous one... etc

In the end I thought I had commitment issues, but I read a lot of writers come up with TONS of stories and never follow them through to the end.

You just have to wait until you come up with that "gem" of a story you just can't get enough of. OR... go back to some of your past stories and re-read them, add a few sentences and leave and come back to it in a wk.

You can burn out your interest in a story if you spend TOO much time writing it. If you write several pages in one sitting, that's too much. Take your time and ask ppl to read your work and listen to their predictions of what they think will happen next. This should provide you with some plot/character twists that you can use later and establish what mood you want in the story.

Revisiting old stories is fun and may help you come up with new material oddly enough.

I speak from experience, hope this helps :)
