Is it normal that i get really scared by the dark

Okay so I HATE the dark. I think some one like a doll or w/e is gonna pop out and scare the pee out if me. It takes over my life. To go up my stairs at home I turn on 40,000 lights and whenever my cat moves I get so scared that I freeze and can't move. IIN.

    This happens to me too after i watch a scary movie. Have you watched scary movies more than usual? Im asking because that's maybe what has caused your fear. Or you're just afraid for the same reason everyone else is- the fear of the unknown. I know how you feel. :)

    I feel your fear :) I sleep with the bathroom light on so that I get some light in my bedroom..hate the dark

    It happens if u see a scary movie just think to urself it's not real I was scared when I was younger then I realized it wasn't real and I no longer am
