Is it normal that i give false opinions

When I'm in a conversation, whether it be with a group or one-on-one, I tend to give a false opinion on a topic that is brought up. It's not because I'm afraid of what others might think of my real opinion, it is just because I feel so apathetic about things. I do it because I don't want to seem uninterested and make the conversation awkward. I also tend to give a fake reaction on purpose for the same reason. I usually get criticized for my "fake" opinions and reactions and get shot down. It pisses me off when it happens because I can't take back what I said or did. Should I show my true colors?

I do this exact same thing. I put on such a fake persona around my friends and family, sometimes I can't even tell which one is the fake one and which one is the real me.

be who you are otherwise people get to know you as a completely different person and when they find out you're not that person they've been friends with all this while they might not want to be around that new person.
sounds extreme but it's happened to me and my friends in the past.

  • That kinda means you are afraid to show your opinions.
not in the sense that people would dissagree with you or anything but because you dont want to ruin a conversation.
