Is it normal that i hate being called a adult?

I'm 19 and I hate being called an adult when I don't even consider myself one. Is it normal?

Legally you're an adult but mentally you aren't quite there yet. I found once I hit 23-24 I started thinking differently than I did when I was younger.

Yes! Almost the same here (at 22). At that time I also began to see all the teenagers INCREDIBLY younger than me, physically.

That's about the age where I looked at myself and said "It's time grow up".

I didn't want to be called an adult at that age either. mixwell is right though, you'll start feeling differently in a few years.

Growing up is awful. I take being called an adult as an insult.

legally 18 year olds are adults. However older adults like 30-40 call anyone in there 20s kids. So I do not see why people expect 18 year olds as adults when no one else sees them that way. When your mom says "Oh some kids I saw" when in fact they were 25. I know when I turned 18 though I no longer wanted to talk to younger people. Actually even the people my age seemed really immature and it irritated me. Maybe I just know some very stupid people though. I don't think like normal people.

Daren't tell you how old I am, and I still find it strange when I overhear myself being referred to as 'that man' rather than 'that boy'....
