Is it normal that i hate cats?

They are really not that bad. Keep your mind open. Read positive stories about cats to develop your appreciation of their good qualities.

Cats from hell umm yeah like thats going to happen more like humans are animals from hell we do so much bad what have cats ever done ( well maybe a scratch here and there still )

You guys know there are cats that are heroes right? Cats that saved peoples lives. Risked their life in a fire to save its kittens. Saving a child from a dog. War. and even from seizures

I love all cats, especially tiny fluffy kittens. If you want to try a theraputic...ish... way to curve your inborn hatred of the animals, look at some LOL cats online, or some pictures of playing and/or sleeping kittens. Youtube them playing with a laser on the wall and just never seeming to be able to catch it.

Something might work, but if it doesn't, I can't dislike you for how you were raised. It's alright.

I work at a kennel and have always disliked cats. But even though plenty of cats are demon spawn, a lot are really pretty cool! I just always have my guard up in case they decide to randomly attack me, but there's no reason to hate them. They can be jerks, is all. They still need love and attention. Just avoid em if you're not cool with their mood swings xD

I'm going to say this is normal for you, since you were socialized this way. But honestly, cats don't care about anything except food, sleep, and a clean litterbox.

I feel sort of bad for you, it seems like your family has led you into thinking cats are scary creatures, when they're actually just kind of... dumb. And this is coming from a cat person. I don't think it would be reasonable for anyone to expect you to ever become fond of cats, but you might want to do some reading on them or try to interact with a few so you can get used to them and realize they aren't going to hurt you, simply because there are a lot of cats in the world and it's highly likely that you will continue to encounter them and you don't want to have a freakout every time you see one.

It's just superstition in your case and as such I think it could be overcome.

You should get to know a nice cat, maby you will like them better then.

Just curious, why exactly does your culture believe that? I know it's a myth that black cats are bad luck, but I've never heard of any religions or cultures with that belief. I have 5 cats and I love them. They're not bad, try spending some time around them and you'll get used to them. It sounds like you want to get used to cats, but you were raised to believe they're bad, so that's holding you back.

I also hate cats. I'm sorry that you live in a society with lots of cats because chances are most people aren't going to be very sympathetic with you. They'll laugh off your fears and then force you to pet their "adorable fluffy kitty" even though you're trying to be nice and say no thanks. People are like that.
