Is it normal that i hate my girlfriend's dog?

This dog is a 85 pound chocolate lab that has extreme anxiety to where it hates being alone. The only time it will be alone is when it is in a bedroom inside. It gets excited to be in a locked room and I don't understand it. This dog sheds like crazy and it doesn't bark, it shrieks. It makes so much mess while eating and drinking and I hate it with a passion. I am very scared to admit how much I hate this dog because I have always loved all animals no matter what. I have never had a negative feeling about an animal before.

      It’s not locked away. Whenever I let him back in the house and we have the spare bedroom door closed he whines until he can go in and lay there alone

    I dont like to say its ok.
    But.
    Ive never met a small dog I liked.
    Theyre to insecure.

    Like nearly always with dogs that have behavioural problems it probably just needs training. Has she tried that already or is she another dog owner who has no idea how to take care of a dog? If not you could suggest it.

    I have a similar situation with my boyfriends roommates dog. To be fair, shes old, has bad hips and vision is starting to go but every damn time I'm over at his place the dog barks like crazy. We've been together for 5 months and it isnt getting better. Aparently the dog doesnt like women though so not a lot I can do about that.
