Is it normal that i hate my mom when she confuses my gf's name?

Ok, well for the safety of the people involved, I'm going to change their names to fake names. And, I want to say in advance that I am serious and not "taking you for a ride". Anyway, I have an ex named Betty. We broke up a while ago, around early November. I stayed single for a little bit while I searched for a new girl and then I met my current girlfriend Maria. I've been dating Maria since early January and my mother and I discuss her (how she is doing at school, how work is for her, how her family is, etc.) as a normal parent and their child would. My stepfather doesn't really care, but that isn't important anyway. So, she often gets my current girlfriend's name wrong. This really irks me.... I correct her firmly and she says sorry however it still happens. Is it normal that I get mad at her for this?

P.S. Not that it really matters but I am a heterosexual male who is a senior in highschool. I have ADHD, mood swings, and mild depression, but I've been medicated for them ever since I was about nine or ten.

    you should not get angry for that. It is really a silly mistake. Your mother cares you unlike your step-father.

    This isn't something worth getting mad about.
    I call people wrong names all the time.
    I remember onetime I accidently called my ex-gf Carl (my name) to which she replied (You're Carl).

    I think it's normal to feel some annoyance if it keeps reccuring, not sure about hate.. my family always get my girls name wrong even after i showed them the difference between the spanish and english alphabet. The british can be ignorant when it comes to anything foreign.
    Is she getting the name wrong by using the old girlfriends name instead? Because i think that shows her lack of interest, she might be playing with you

    My own dad gets my name mixed up with every other person in my family constantly.

    I'm used to it by now, though, and honestly I don't see why it's a big deal. Some people just don't have a good memory for names (kind of like me tbh), not their fault.

      Same here! I'm the second oldest and my dad legit goes through every other name of my siblings and a few cousins before getting to me. Then he says, "Damn it you know who you are!" (Laughs)

    Is her name actually close to Maria or is it some foreign? Because some of those names IS really fucking hard to make out ...xD Just saying.
