I am a Moroccan girl, but I absolutely hate my religion and culture. It's so sexist and annoying, I don't even want to become a Moslim, or be Morroccan. Is that normal?
I am so annoyed with people who say they find their religion/culture annoying...who is stopping you from changing. Don't call it your religion if you don't believe it or practise it but don't go hating on it while others are perfectly comfortable with the religion. If you are not 'feeling' the religion then go explore another one and see if it really is better! And if you don't find a dogma you are comfortable with you are just restless and careless!
Ummm, in Muslim countries women CAN be beheaded for not practicing and or speaking out against their hypocritical religion! That is who's stopping her! She was NOT born into a "free" country!
This is such an arrogant, hateful and wait for it...BaSeLeSS statement! The country is free because they have created an independent state in which they can practice their religion freely ! We hear more stories of muslim women being treated in a dehumanized manner by invaders into their country! I would like you to name me stories of women being beheaded...the religion is not hypocritical tho people following the religion are susceptible to behave hypocritically -_- Majority of women are living quite at ease. I would also like to take this opportunity to mention that I'm also sick and tired of people pointing fingers at other countries and thinking the people there are living in unbearable social conditions when their countries have their own questionable issues. This woman wasnt even referring to her countries policies, she was talking about a dislike of her heritage. Only she can help that...its a personal choice to choose ur own culture or religion.

I'm a Muslim woman and I don't find it sexist at all. And morocco is one of the most liberal muslim-majority countries on earth, they have the most gay tourism of any of them despite it being "illegal" (with the possible exception of tunisia). Try living in syria, yemen or saudi and then come back and complain.
I loved Morocco (my favorite Arab country) when I visited there, and always looked forward to sailing in. I didn't find the muslims there to be overly oppressive, though any girl traveling with me had to wear a jilaba over her western clothes, if going ashore, but that's just respecting the local customs. We found the Moroccans to be extremely friendly and welcoming, so I have nothing but good memories of my time there. Even the customs an immigration officials were well behaved, unlike most Arab countries.
I can certainly understand why no female would want to be a muslim, and I am sorry you do not appreciate the good things about your country. However, fortunately, you are but a ferry ride across the straights from Europe, unlike those from the Middle East, so in time you should be able to find what you are looking for.
