Is it normal that i hate old people

Idk that's kinda fucked up. I work at a nursing home so I have a different view of them.

To any of those who consider themselves better, smarter, more capable than old people, here is an offer or challenge. I am 65 years old. I challenge anyone here (lets say 25 and younger) to all of the following competitions:

2 out of three set tennis match
1 on 1 football to 21 points (using common QB and full 100 yard field)
8 lap motorcycle road race 250cc Grand Prix (any AMA or AHRMA approved road course within continental USA)
Chess game.
Music (listen to a random song and within 1 minute or less name the key it is written in and the scale primarily used by the singer or lead guitar player)
Reading comprehension test.
Geo physics test
History test (any period any culture)

9 events. Best 5 out of nine wins. $10,000 buy in. Winner takes all. If I win, all goes to a charity. If you win you do what you choose.

I think my largest problem with seniors is that it is assumed that they are "wiser" and "better" than younger people simply because they are older. Whilst it is true that experience can lead to wisdom, it does not automatically make it so. People need to earn respect, not receive it simply because of their age.
That leads to my second problem. I always feel like seniors should be mature and kind and wise because of their experience. They should be better at social activities and have learned tact and graciousness. Instead, most seem to become vicious, gossipy, old hags that are bitter against the world and all of those with youth and vitality.
Another problem: seniors often have a horrible mixture of pride and stubbornness, which often only leads to more problems and hurts others and themselves (ie, not giving up a drivers licence when they could easily kill someone, or refusing to move when they're putting an incredible burden on their family) as well as a feeling of entitlement where they constantly want and demand help from others in the most ridiculous manner.
I could clearly continue, but that is all I will say for now.

there are some loveable old people but for the most part i don't like old people and i know it's wrong

I work in a call center for insurance and I talk to old ass idiots all day. You're right they brag and yell they argue they bitch about the stupidest things they think because they lived longer than anyone we gotta kiss their ass and they tell you stupid stories that are long and winded and we don't give a fuck about. I hate old people too. Maybe if they would of worked out and taken care of themselves better when they were younger they wouln't feel and look so old. Oh yeah and their racist fucks too . That generation needs to go already bunch of stupid fucks!

Yea I don't like them. They think they are wise but they are just out dated. My sister cuts old peoples hair and she said they are really ignorant.

Its a pretty broad question since it is all old people as a group, but I had to vote yes its normal.
I deal with a lot of elderly people and while there are many nice and friendly old people, it seems there are at least an equal amount that are awful to be around.
While it might just seem that way because a little bit of bad old people go a long way, I truly believe it normal to hate old people as cruel as it sounds.
That being said, I plan on being a cool old guy if I live that long. They exist, its unfortunate all the crabs drown them out.

Me too! I mean obviously not ALL old people but pretty much all the ones I've come across have been very irritating. They are single minded and rude and think they have the right to insult you cos they are old. Why should I show them respect if they treat me like that? I don't like the way they cut themselves off from society either and live their lives in their past, turning their noses up at the current generation like we have messed everything up by introducing iPhones when they've never even tried using one. They were quite lazy too. You may be old but you are not paralysed. They make younger people do stuff for them and think they can get away with it because of their age. Oh and then constantly shouting 'WHAT??' After every little thing you say grates on you. I know it's not their fault but God it is irritating. And being so slow. Walking slow. Talking slow. Having to be spoken to very slowly. Not understanding simple tasks or pieces of information and it having to be explained a million times. Sorry but when my granny comes round I feel like I'm talking to a child! I know I will be old one day too and someone will be complaining about me. And I know none of these things are their fault and they can't help it it just helps to vent out the frustration occasionally. And there is no excuse for being single minded, snobby and rude. I don't care what you're age is, you're an asshole.

I work at Costco as a hearing aid specialist (horrible field to get into). The rules are you must have an appointment to receive a hearing test or any service. No matter how many times I drill into these old peoples heads that they cant just walk up and expect me to work on their hearing aids they do it anyway.. they will pull out the line "if I see you and you aren't busy cant you do it, even if I don't have an appointment" NO! Don't try to reason with me.. just accept that you have to call and make an appointment before popping up. The worst is when they come in and see FREE hearing test and schedule one just because its free then don't buy anything when they actually need hearing aids. What is the point of getting your hearing checked if you find that you have hearing loss and are not going to do anything about it. I swear that one of these days im going postal on all these douche bags. I've had so many old pieces of crap come up to the counter, bragging about how they use to be an engineer, and then proceed to try to tell me how to do my job or ask so many God forsaken dumbass questions that it makes me want to strangle them. I absolutely hate 99% of old people. I am so happy that some of you agree that most of them are horrible.

Old people are rude, ignorant, stubborn, scared of change, intolerant, racist, lack personal hygiene and ohhh so arrogant and the current prison population is absolutely full of old pedo's, so I'd say that there's a large amount of them that are pervs too.

They are a drain on society and contribute absolutely nothing

All old people should be made to pay a fee to the government as they are a drain on society and all they do is moan about how bad the world has become.

Not only that but they can't hear anything, don't understand the modern world and refuse to embrace technology.

They should all be put in a giant city somewhere in the middle of an ocean and just left to get on with it...it would solve the housing shortage and there would be more food to eat.

Some old folks are super awesome!!!!!!!, they may not look young but they got what it takes to be young and alive.I really like them and think that these type of elders are worth respected.

However, I had a chance to experience the incredibly bad one also, like

They act like a baby who can not help themselves ,which they should feel grateful of how we do not abandon them and even take care of them at most of the time or at least they should make things easier for us by not being so stubborn , unreasonable and act like a spoiled brat.Also, if we refuse to do something for them ,they may call you ungrateful or not respectful which .....since when they ever make me feel grateful and think about us after all this time and now you expect us to be your servant or something??

This may sound like a harsh comment, well it is..... for those out there ,i do not meant to offend all of the elders but sometimes you will need to understand that people have their limit.

at first it was caring ,then pity and then my door is shut ,the only reason they are cared because we may be related somehow.

um.. old people can't always use their brains.. it's called dementia.. or a series of other aging issues such as alzheimers.. you're going to die alone, and no one will be around to listen to u bitch.. now i bet that sounds AWESOME, yea?

To say that the elderly have young people do things for them because their lazy is a lie. I work at a retirement village and most of the residents are 70+ and are in wheelchairs or using walkers. Despite have 11+ people willing to help them, they always feel bad when we go to fetch things for them or offer to make them something special. Once a man fell and refused medical help. They can be quite proud.

I am a care giver and have to deal with old people daily. Each and every one of them have a distinct smell of either piss, shit, mothballs or some other bad odor. Here in Florida..." Gateway to Heaven" or more appropriate " The Land of The Dead", old people truly remind me of zombies. The way they look,walk, talk and eat. I see death on the horizon...LOL! If you dislike old people...STAY OUT OF FLORIDA !!

I came here because I hate my grandmother so much and everyday I want her to die. My deepest wish I'd to hit her everyday but I have to be strong not to punch her, cause I know it would be completely wrong and I would go to prison, but that's my will. I hate her so much, she fucked up my mother's life for her whole life and now she's still doing what she knows most.

I used to work in a nursing home and there was this one retarded old guy that was so lazy he would sit there and pee his pants instead of going to the bathroom, and he absolutely wasn't incontinent because he never pooped himself.

I like old people I think they are sweet as long as they don't smell like piss
