Is it normal that i hate some words?

I really, really hate the word 'slit'. It hurts me to say it and when I hear it it makes me shiver with repulsion. I don't like the word 'pustules' either but not as much as I hate 'slit'. Is it normal to hate a word this much?

    MOIST. the worst word.
    but slit is pretty bad. it seems like something that would pop up a lot in smutty fiction.

    I wouldn't recommend reading the Harry Potter fic My Immortal; the main character (basically the author inserting herself into the story) constantly slits her wrists. I can't believe how casually she talks about that.
