Is it normal that i hate washing my hands?

I'm a reasonably clean person - I shower every day (or nearly every day, sometimes I'm too rushed), I trim my nails when they need it, I brush my teeth twice a day, I'm basically just not a dirty person.

Except in one regard - I hate hate HATE washing my hands. I don't mean cleaning them while in the shower, that doesn't bother me. I have this terrible aversion to getting my hands wet under other circumstances, whether its touching a puddle or washing my hands in the sink. I'll overcome it of course if there's really a reason to (visible filth on my hands, like from grease or whatever else). But if I can't actually see with my eyes a reason to wash my hands, I won't do it, not even after using the bathroom as long as they're visibly not dirty. There have been times I've waited in the bathroom stall at work for it to empty out before leaving because I was afraid to wash my hands but didn't want to be noticed walk out without doing it. Other times I'll turn on the faucet and pretend I'm washing my hands while making sure my hands are not in the water. I just simply cannot stand having anything on my hands.

Is that normal?

I completely understand. I hate washing my hands too. I'm not happy about it and I do it, but I'm sure I don't do enough.

I hate doing a lot of the hygienic things we should do, but I hate feeling gross even more.

Do not offer me your hand to shake when we meet.
We live in the West Indies and when we return to the boat we wash our hands very well, immediately. It's not that the West Indians are dirty, but they have immunities to things that we do not.
Not washing your hands after using the toilet is just plain gross, discourteous to others and a filthy thing to do.
There is a very good chance you will get hepatitis B if you continue this way. By the way, you cannot see the E. coli bacteria (or any other), so it may be there on your hands anytime, waiting to punish you for your weird fetish.

WRONG!! You most certainly cannot contract Hepatitis B from not washing your hands after using the bathroom!! You contract Hep B from sex, IV drug use, unsterilized tattooing equipment and sharing personal items such as toothbrushes and razors. Not by avoiding washing your hands!! Educate yourself, please...

Stick a contaminated finger in your mouth or eye and you will find out just how easily these things can spread. Don't be lecturing me about this stuff little boy; I have a very expensive UV system on my watermaker, just so these infections can't survive to be inadvertently consumed.

That's disgusting! I hope you never prepare food and offer it to other people to eat. This is why there should be cameras at the bathroom sinks at work. SHAME ON YOU!!!
