Is it normal that i have a phobia of certain materials?

I know it may seem strange but, say there's a sofa for example that's not leather and if someone were to scratch their skin against it it kinda makes me literally shiver. I hate how some materials feel against my skin and I really can't stand it and say if someone has a duvet cover for example made of cotton but not a soft cotton and they slide against it, it'd have to cover my ears and make them stop. /:

I also have a phobia of vomitting. If I see vomit it makes me feel weird inside and if I ever vomit (Which I haven't since in about 6 years), I feel icky and scared and as though I have to be really cautious in case it happens again or something.
I also have a phobia of heights (Which is normal) and all insects, including flies and butterflies . Spiders too but that's normal too.

I have a vomiting phobia too. The idea of myself vomiting mortifies me.

I don't like that weird 'slick' feel, like the outside of a water proof sleeping bag and i hate the sound of rustling. are you talking about polyester-leather? I don't like the sound of nails on pleather

I have a strong aversion to felt, I can't touch it without feeling shivery and horrible!

And I'm the same as you for vomiting, but luckily I rarely get sick. I'm scared of heights too, but then a lot of people are.

I think you're normal, most people have quirky phobias of some sort! :)

vomiting is the most vile natural act one's body can commit. it's just so vulgar.
