Is it normal that i have a phobia of meat?

Ever since I was young I've always had a phobia of meat - particularly hanging meat with bones and blood that looks like an animal. Every time I walked past a butchers window I'd have a mild panic attack and feel kinda frightened. I've since overcome this, but was this ever normal?

I have a phobia of raw meat.

You know when you go to the store and there's the strange meat department? Well, they pack the meat in these styrofoam containers and the blood gets smushed against the plastic covering. A relative of mine got the blood on her hands once. It's kind of ironic, though. Blood on your hands from the meat that died for you.

I can't touch those containers without having a panic attack. I even got made fun of at the store... People are heartless.

One of them was bloody when I picked them up a few times. Its was gross I had to ask the butcher for napkins to wipe off all the blood. It was disgusting.

Perhaps, it is just a coincidence but, this has never happened to me with organic grass-fed meat. It is like the meat is least bloody compared to the commercialized version. Also, the meat is contained in secure hard plastic. The Styrofoam containers are only reserved for chicken, that I can remember. Still, there's absolutely no ounce of blood.

It's not necessarily a normal thing, but many people have many different phobias, so it is in a sense normal, but not necessarily healthy.
