Is it normal that i have to crack my knee every few minutes?

Ok so, for like 2 years now, every time I sit down on a chair or something, after 5-10 minutes, my knee starts to get this urge, kinda itchy but uncomfortable. In order to get rid of it, I have to press down on my knee slightly and I have to stretch my legs out in order to crack it. It is pretty loud sometimes. Again, this happens pretty often, I have to crack my legs every few minutes.

This can become really uncomfortable when I am sitting in a movie theatre because there is barely any space to stretch my legs.

I am athletic and a healthy person but I dont know why my knees are like this. The cracks are loud mostly and I have never injured my knees before.

Is it normal?

I'm not sure. But I have heard that cracking your fingers and hands is totally harmless, despite what we might have been told.
So in the absence of any pain, I'd assume it's just one of your body's quirks. But I'm not completely sure.

I have this same issue. I'm pretty sure it's not normal, though, so maybe you should consult a doctor?

I'm not sure if this is necessarily normal or not... Have you ever consulted your doctor about this?

I have not, it doesn't really hurt or swell when I crack them, so I don't think I have to.

Hm... You may want to just in case, because I've never seen this. It may be a silent case of arthritis, but i don't know.
