Is it normal that i have to do everything in sets of odd numbers?

Everything I do has to be done in a series of ones, threes, fives, sevens, elevens, etc. Even-numbers of drumbeats, candies, and even breaths cause a tingling feeling to start up in my stomach and I have to add another to make it odd. IIN?

  • People look for purpose and order where sometimes there is none. Normal.

Sometimes I do that. But for example, to force myself to study, I tell my self I have to study 5 pages every time. So If i am on the fourth page im like, sh*t one more. And if by mistake i carried on and then i was on the 6th, i'd have to read 4 more, becasue I have to study in a set of 5. But it's just a way to force myself to study. Uhm, doing this with everything should be so tiring :/ and i say it isn't normal.

I'd much rather keep things even.

This is a classic symptom of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or OCD. It's an anxiety-based disorder in which the sufferer gets anxious or may feel as though something "bad" will happen if they don't engage in their compulsions.
Psychologists or counselors are often able to help find the reason behind the compulsion in order to aid in quitting, and there are several methods of treatment available if it bothers you or interferes with your daily life.
There are also numerous websites, articles and forums dedicated to OCD and related anxiety disorders you may find helpful which are easily found on search engines.
    Best wishes,
