Is it normal that i keep the volume number as a multiple of 5?

On most TVs and other electronics with volumes, theres numbers to show how loud or quiet the volume is. I ALWAYS keep the volume number a multiple of 5. If it's not a multiple of 5, I'll change it so it is and if it's too loud; I force myself to live with it. Is that normal?

I don't do multiples of 5 but I only have volume on even numbers. Actually I have a thing about odd numbers all together..
Don't know if it's normal but I'm the same..

I'm all about even numbers. On everything. I could probably save money on my energy bills, but goddamn it, I'm not setting that thermostat to an odd number!

Maybe that is the volume that does not hurt your ears. Why they invented volume button. Marvelous thing isnt it?

I do that in a similar way, the numbers have to be even.

  • Omg I totally do that! Well not multiples of 5 but I can't leave it on odd numbers unless they're 5,15,25 etc... And if the volume doesn't have numbers i like to make sure in quarters. But my favourite numbers include 3,6,13,23 so i don't know...

Yes, lots of people have this(including myself). It is a MILD form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. If it was actual Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, then it would hinder your ability to have a normal life. Usually for me it has to be even numbers but I noticed myself doing it and now I try to put it on an odd number once in a while.
