Actually things are really messed up when people don't think nerds are cool, or at least when they don't accept them. This discourages nerdyness which discourages intelligence which discourages education which discourages great new innovations and discoveries, like cures for diseases and new technology. So accept nerdyness in all its glory!!!! Join the dark side! Jk, it's not dark :) But yes! Be a nerd! Read for the fun of it, not because teachers tell you to. Do all your homework plus extra credit plus study for all your tests plus extra just cuz you like to learn! Watch stuff on the discovery channel and those interesting pbs specials! Join your school's local academic team or debate team or chess club or math club or science club or whatnot! And most importantly, LOVE MATH WITH ALL YOUR BEING! I'm just kidding, of course you don't have to do all these things to be considered a nerd (we're not a homogeneous group), but it does take some extra effort, but if you're really a nerd you'll enjoy it, or at least the end result of it.

Nerds are more educated and therefore more interesting. You can have a meaningful, fulfilling conversation with a nerd. It has been my experience that "popular" people are selfcentered and shallow. They will stab anyone in the back at the drop of a hat just because of the "rep" they are trying to make for themselves. I love nerds!!! I always have!!!

Its perfectly fine to be comfy with who you are.

  • Bleh, lazy nerd, guilty-as-charged. I'd much rather screw around with people then get into the books, probably explains why I can't yank my math grade any higher.

I think the word you're lookin' ain't nerd at all, I'd PC this to death and say "Intellectual Nonconformist".

Nerds rule. I'm a bit of a nerd myself. All good though. And who doesn't love 'revenge of the nerds!' Total classic!

    I love nerds :)
    I wouldnt say I'm a nerd but I like to think I am...'different'.
I like 'nerds' because they have a variety of interests and seem to know a lot about different subjects therefore they are more interesting. I think that the 'cool guys' are boring and generic. They spend so much time trying to fit in and chasing girls that they dont have time to gain any new knowledge or hobbies so they get boring fast. Nerds are fun because they keep your brain working and can tell you things you never knew before.

No, you're supposed to think nerds are losers. Things are really messed up these days when people think nerds are cool and people start wanting to fit in with nerds.
