Ask almost anyone and they'll tell u that they hate math. But ask me and I'll tell u that I love it. It all started with my pre cal course in college. I had no idea what to pick for my major, but I decided to keep on moving up with my math classes. I took a trig class, then calculus 1, 2, and 3. I was just taking them for fun because I had no idea what to pick for my major (although I've now decided electrical engineer). Math just comes easy to me, I love solving integrals and taking derivatives. I'm a math tutor at my school and I'm also part of the math club. I buy books about math! It's just such an amazing topic to me and I love learning as much as I can about it! So is it normal to love math?

    I do love maths, but there are parts of it that seem pointless. The Hahn-Banach theorem springs to mind. The extension theorem proving that a linear functional defined on a subspace of a vector space and dominated thereon by a sublinear function defined on the entire space has a linear extension still dominated by the sublinear function.

    When I learnt that, I was convinced I was never going to be able to apply it to any part of my life. So far, I've been right.

    Yea it's totally normal. Everybody has their favorite subject. I love math too.. Sometimes when I'm bored, I even do random problems for fun lol. I just have a knack 4 it

    You must not like it that much because the class is called "pre-calc" as in precalculus. And you must also not be very good at it because I took that class in 9th grade
