Is it normal that i like people on internet more than in real life?

Why? Because here on internet people don't judge you by your look or your clothing like most of people do in my school. You don't have to be the "shy one" when you just don't like things that others don't because you can just meet people with same interests. People don't think you're weirdo because everyone is. Personally I never had many friends because I have literally NOTHING in common with everyone I know. Not hobbies, music/movie taste and other things that they usually talk about. However I love talking with people on internet because everyone is more friendly and not so judgeful since it's anonymous. IIN?

  • You do have some valid points about meeting people via the internet, like it being easier to meet people who have similar interests and personality types than it is at school. That is true because in school you are limited to the small group of people that are in your neighbourhood, yet the internet is global. The little pond doesn't seem as enticing when there's a whole ocean out there.

However there are some other things to consider here. People on the internet DO judge you just as much as they do in real life. It just that they don't have nearly as much physical information to judge you by and only know the parts that you give them; and visa versa.

Also, it can be healthy to expose yourself to people who you might not have everything in common with you. It builds character and a tolerance of those who are different from you.

    This is so true.
But eventually internet friends go away. Unless you actually skype them or talk to them on a daily basis, they drift away.
But it does seem like people from different states and even countries like you more than the people that you are surrounded by. It's sad.
