Idk why, but their paws smell good- not in a perfume kinda way but in an earthy way... they're golden retrievers
My dog's feet always smell kind of musty. I think because while people think a dog panting is their way of reducing heat, they also sweat through the pads on their feet. It's not especially nasty, but neither would I choose dog foot sweat as a cologne.
Each to their own, though.
Well, if they smell good... SNIFF AWAY!!!
Although, you must wash and keep yourself hygenic- those paws might have something other than a good smell.
My dogs feet smell like doritos chips. It makes me wonder if she sneaks a bag or two haha.
I like to stick my face in my cat's belly. he always smells good for some reason. And he's fluffy and fat :P so cute

Both my dog had a very special aroma I miss them very much, the pads off a dogs feet have a unique snfferable smell. Rest in peace boys
