Is it normal that i like to eat betta fish?

Well I've always loved betta's as pets and have always had one for 5 years now. But lately I've gotten bored with them and one day I was hungry and there was nothing to eat in the fridge/cabinets and my betta came to mind. I took it out of its bowl and fried it in oil on the stove until it was cooked. I ate it and loved the way it tasted. I now look forward to buying betta's from Petsmart and having them as a snack every now and then. Is this normal?
