Is it normal that i like writing in my diary?

I have asked some friends if it's weird to write in a diary online ANONYMOUSLY. 90% of them said it was weird and even stopped contacting me (on the anonymous account) and now if I asked them, they'll obviously deny just to make me feel better. So tell me, is it normal?

    Yeah, that's normal that you like writing things in your diary. It's normal because it's a type of release. Many people get that same release by just having someone to talk to, but a diary can work good for that purpose as well; especially if you don't really have anyone close to you.

    A diary is meant for private stuff. Why would you tell people about your private life/ things u write in your diary, even if you appear as anonymous. Maybe they are just not interested in the things you write about.
